Richard Harold – born 1977 New Zealand
My name is Richard Harold. Welcome to my website. This is a collection of my works completed over the last three years.
This art ranges in medium from small pencil and charcoal sketches to large acrylic paintings. My subject matter has changed more recently and I’m venturing into the surreal and post-modern style. I enjoy the challenge of design as well as painting.
I have a lot of fun painting and try to weave messages into my work using metaphors and symbolism. My recent paintings are becoming more and more interesting to paint as I push myself for different ideas and meanings.

Growing up on a dairy farm in New Zealand together with guidance from my artistic Father has nurtured a passion for creativity, drawing and painting. Now living in a city, painting has brought back a sense of freedom to my otherwise structured life.
There are many ideas and images floating around out there. I am looking forward to them manifesting onto canvas over the course of my career. I hope you are entertained and inspired by them as they emerge.
